Make sure it’s not too late to know the importance of work-life balance

Work-life balance is the hottest topic in today’s world. As the corporate and business world is evolving, people tend to choose a balanced work and life. Gone are the days when people were working more and achieving. But they soon realized that more work doesn’t lead to a happy life.

As aforementioned, the corporate world is evolving. And companies are more focused on providing a good work culture and employee experience which leads to more productivity.

A view on employees’ perspective

According to a recent study by Zippia,

“Sixty percent of workers think they have a good work-life balance.

At least once, 77% of workers have felt burned out in their current positions.

Work-life balance is viewed as being extremely important by 72% of employees, while 57% of job searchers think it is a deal-breaker when looking for a new position.

Compared to onsite employees, 43% more remote workers put in more than 40 hours every week.

While 67.2% of workers say that some element of their job, coworkers, or corporate culture is the greatest reason behind poor work-life balance, personal perfectionism is the biggest roadblock.”

Work-life balance is not a destiny but a journey!

If you ask if the work-life balance gets right, the answer is no! There is much more to work-life balance. There is more like relationship-work balance and rest-work balance and in different stages, we have different priorities and the phrase “work-life balance” is just a facade.

Ultimately work-life balance is not a milestone to be achieved but a journey to be experienced.

Realize its significance before it slips away!

It’s not an achievement, it’s never a reason not to know its importance. Time never waits for anyone. While achieving huge milestones in your career(which is as important), never forget to enjoy the little moments in life. And you can definitely choose the time you give to those little moments.

Wondering how to balance these two like a magician?

Here are 3 steps to enjoy your work and life simultaneously.

1. Strategy is the king

There is no point in having a hectic time schedule for work. Managing and scheduling time strategically helps to a great extent. Have a strategy in place. A schedule to spend time with yourself and your family and work! Taking frequent breaks within the works is also an essential part.

2. Spend time with what makes you happy

Spend at least 30 minutes of the day doing what makes you happy. Encouraging yourself to take up a hobby boosts mental health and enhances productivity. It’s time for you to take a ‘me’ time and skyrocket your productivity.

3. Plan vacation time

Plan a holiday vacation to spend time alone or with your family. This gets you a break from your busy schedule and helps your mind clear. The best to refresh and renew your life is to go out and relax in nature. It’s high time you should harness the power of nature and reinvent yourself.

If you chase to achieve the work-life balance, you’ll never achieve it. It’s a cycle, and it takes time to implement these steps. The best advice is to never give too much of yourself to work or life, or you tend to lose yourself.
