BLACKbox hybrid email subscription services are offered to save the cost of the overall email subscription and can be integrated with Google Workspace or MS 365. Following is the conceptual understanding of the BLACKbox Hybrid Email System.

Introduction to Hybrid Email Technology

This technology works on DNS Splitting Technology. When an email is received from outside world the technology will determine whether to deliver it to Gmail or O365 account or to BLACKbox email services. Thus, the MSME can maintain single domain for email id and use expensive Gmail or O365 for few users and cost-effective BLACKbox email services for rest of the users.

Problem Statement

Standard email systems like Gmail and MS 365 are priced between INR 2000 and INR 10000 per year per email box. They are offered a 30 GB to 50 GB mailbox for each email ID with a host of features. For an MSME setup, such a yearly cost is perceived to be on the higher side. In an MSME setup, most users do not use such large mailboxes and do not need the advanced features of these email systems. They need a simple email system that can be accessed in a browser or in an email client using POP or IMAP protocol. So, very few users, like owners and top management personnel in an MSME setup, require feature-rich and large mailbox email services. Most of the users do not require them. However, an MSME must pay for all features for all the users. It is challenging to use different mail service providers for a single domain. Hence, the yearly cost of email subscriptions is high compared to the usage requirements.

Solution Statement

A technology that can allow the single domain to be used with different email service providers can solve such a problem and reduce the yearly cost of email subscriptions. It will allow an MSME setup to pay a premium for a few users for a large mailbox and a host of features with Gmail or O365 and pay less for most of the users for a simple email system accessible over a browser or an email client.

Example

A company with 100 email users may be paying a minimum of INR 250000 to INR 700000 per year for an email system to Gmail or MS365. It may be possible that hardly 10 users may require a large mailbox and an advanced level of features. The rest of the users may require a plain vanilla email system. So, by adopting the hybrid system, one can pay INR 25000 to INR 70000 for 10 users and INR 63000 for the other 90 users. It may reduce over cost to INR 88000 to 133000 INR per year from INR 250000 to INR 700000 per year.

Important Disclaimers

  • Email data migration from the old service provider is chargeable at INR 1000 plus GST mailbox (includes software, manpower, bandwidth charges) per mailbox if it is to be done by Synersoft.
  • This service does not allow promotional bulk email campaigns under its acceptable usage policy.

Important Integration Note

  • It will require a service account or a journal account on MS 365 or Google Workspace.
  • It will require authentication of a service account if API Integration is required.
  • There will be a delay of 30-45 seconds can be anticipated in the hybrid email system due to the policy server.
